Augusta University’s study abroad experience in Greece immerses students in a land of ancient history, artistic achievement, and vibrant cultural traditions. From walking the historic streets of Athens to exploring the legendary heights of Mount Olympus and the breathtaking landscapes of northern Greece, students engage directly with the art, architecture, and stories that have shaped this remarkable region for centuries.
Beyond the classroom, participants experience Greece's rich cultural heritage through visits to ancient temple ruins, medieval fortresses, Ottoman mosques, Byzantine churches, and charming rural villages, bringing the region's layered history to life in meaningful and memorable ways.
Through coursework in Humanities, Studio Art, or Honors studies, combined with immersive travel experiences, students gain a deeper understanding of history, culture, and themselves while seeing the places they have only read about come alive.
