About 🌎

Building Global Fostering Global Compassion and Clinical Learning in Rwanda:

Augusta University’s study abroad experience in Rwanda offers students an unforgettable opportunity to learn, serve, and grow in one of Africa’s most remarkable countries. Known as the “Land of a Thousand Hills,” Rwanda provides a stunning backdrop for hands-on learning, from breathtaking savanna landscapes and diverse wildlife to vibrant markets, rural farming communities, and thriving urban centers.

Students engage directly with local communities, applying the knowledge and skills gained through their graduate coursework in meaningful real-world settings. Through collaboration and service, Occupational Therapy and Physician Assistant students gain valuable experience while developing a deeper understanding of global healthcare, community engagement, and cross-cultural practice.

Beyond the professional learning experience, participants immerse themselves in Rwanda’s rich culture, history, and daily life, building connections that broaden their perspectives and leave a lasting impact.

Through service, cultural exchange, and experiential learning, students gain a deeper understanding of the world, their profession, and themselves.

Your support helps make these life‑changing global learning opportunities possible.
